Bovine excrement. Do I need to make an exhaustive list of the
water-feature nonsense I keep finding? Lakes dry up, and rivers change
course (especially around Calgary in 2013).

I didn't do Canvec imports too much. Looking at various lakes in
wooded areas, I now realize that Canvec imports are often
problems. I will write a specific memo about that.

I'd like to import some canvec data for the area just north of Plevna,

Hello all,
I would like to remind everyone not to blindly import CanVec tiles on OSM.
I have recently seen tiles uploaded blindly, duplicating nodes and
duplicating features that were already imported (like wooded areas,
lakes, rivers, etc.)
I know it is tempting to see more data on OSM, but
Probably the best thing to do is wait for commonmap.

Sorry about this.
I accidentally imported duplicate features in 031G09.1.3 (Lachute)
that should be removed now unless I missed a few.
Lachute seemed to have been mostly mapped by a user called JeanRob98

it is a terrible mess. Where did I go wrong and how do I fix it?
