For meeting places in the morning in Alabang, how about

Meeting place in Tagaytay we should pick some place with electrical
sockets, Starbucks last year was plugless and too crowded

How can he draw the exact road alignments on a blank map just from what
he knows.
Yes he may know what road is here and there but he can not trace it from
Google Maps or another copyrighted map source. He can not even align it
by comparing it to Google maps and adjusting.

I was wondering, dunno if ItoWorld would do an animation for just the
Philippines, but how bout CloudMade, they let us see edits by area,
is there a way to download the image of NCR or the Philippines for each
day of the year and then we can use any image morph program to animate it :)

ok had a look, I dont have that much tracks in Tagbilaran but those
roads match my GPS tracks, compared to the actual roads in OSM which are
a bit off. So so far looks good.
Looks like arivac has a lot more road data than OSM so it shouldnt be
hard to preprocess it.
ah i have some stuff here, let me see if I can compare my tracks and
waypoints I recorded last year :) never uploaded it hehe

What can I use out there to print large hand maps? I tried Maposmatic
but it seems to be good only for a certain zoom and anything zoomed in
too much becomes like this:

I actually think that's pretty cool that a resort would go out of its

Yes interesting topic. In my research on this for the OSM page, I found
that its subjective to include the City in the name, usually it makes
sense to include it for places where there is a province or municipality
of the same name.
technically speaking the official name is 'Lungsod ng Manil
Suggestion for announcing the event to get maximum exposure. Go to
facebook and become 'Fans' of Philippine tech and mapping related fan
pages, I mean relative groups, not something like a cooking page
and post a wall post there with the link to the event. Remember its not
spam if its related to

Ah here we go, managed to import their KML into Umapper, so now we can
see the map using OSM

trying to use UMapper.com which is real good, anyone can edit etc, but
it cant import the KML of the Google Map addresses over at the
GMANews.tv map page. Would be good in those situations if anyone can add
