Well.. it's chicken and egg. There wasn't anyone interested in the UK when I ran the first mapping parties there either. If you set up a group on meetup.com you'd be surprised how many people join and start to get interested once you have a group meeting monthly. We should really be

I've been to a successful mapping party in NYC, which was run by CloudMade. The meetup.com group still exists, and someone is funding it. I don't know anyone specific who is still working with it though. I believe Lancaster, PA is still trying to have monthly meetups as well. -- Jim McAndrew
