I took a peek at this a while back and came to the conclusion that it wasn't as useful as tiling the seamless server because a) it has older data and b) is harder to work with. But it's there, so there's no harm in using it. I think it'd probably make more sense to use a tilecache/stache plugin th

Has anyone used the USGS High Resolution Orthoimagery available via the Tiled Data Distribution System (TDDS)? The Seamless data is what is available via the USGS WMS servers as described on the wiki, however there's a great deal of imagery which is not on this service: http://orthoimagery.cr.usgs.
