I'm experimenting with the Java code from Traveling Salesman http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Traveling_salesman I'm making library calls to the routing code and it seems that the router does not understand cul-de-sacs mapped as a single self-intersecting way. This got me thinking about

I've noticed that the only one of the four maps on the OSM main page that has been updating since April Fools has been the 'standard' Mapnik. ITO has also not updated their renderings due to an apparent lack of planet files. Does anyone have information about what's going on here?
