If I could understand it this one would be too.

Last night was the wife's grandfather's (Sicilian) 76th birthday and I

I am launching into the 6th week of recovery from the second of two
major operations, over the last 6 months, both successful. Did it
hurt, by God it did! Was it worth it, yes!!
So, catching rays to replenish vitamin D, cause the sun is finally
out, and finally up to playing the mando after week
I've seen the ad where he apparently was endorsjng it, but I've no
idea whether or not he actually performed with it. Can't imagine why
he would.

I'm playing tomorrow night with a "thrown together" band for a class
reunion. Should be a fun jam of traditional bluegrass tunes. Plus it's
at a vineyard, so that should liven up the group. You never know, it
might be a crap shoot with no one listening.

A rare weekend of no gigs planned for me; may get together with a
buddy and lay down some demos for our new forthcoming "album" ;) May
just pop a bottle of good red and watch Scooby Doo with the kids
instead.

Currently sitting in a kids dormitory room where I have been ordered to
sleep during a pointless business trip. It's a long story, but if I can
actually have an hour to play on Sunday I will be more than content. G

Did Mr. Monroe ever have/play an Ibanez 527 model? There is a fella
over at the cafe that is using that as a sell point for his 526. Just
curious
if anyone knows. Tater?

Anybody have any plans for music this weekend? My plan is to do some
recording at home this weekend. Been working on a bunch of
instrumental tunes recorded on mando family instruments. It's time to
get them done.
What are you doing this weekend?

That's the one I use: Camstudio. FIne, except one time it swallowed a whole
lesson and digested it without trace, and I think I know what I am doing
more or less. Out there in cyberspace there is a cybermandolinist greedily
working out Monroe Style.

I use CamStudio to record the lesson in its entirety and then replay it later.
It basically starts a running capture of everything that happens on your
desktop. It's not a lean application and is pretty resource-greedy, but it
works.

Was wondering the same. I am still using the Compton/Grier pair of recordings
from a few years ago. Good stuff.

Speaking of recordings did anyone get a recording of any of the
Midwest Compton/Grier gigs. I think those could be a lifelong study if
anyone managed to record one.

Leopard (10.5) and Snow Leopard (10.6) allow you to record iChats via
the Video Menu/Record Chat but both parties need to be on Leopard. I
believe LaBibbs is still on Tiger... We could fix this of course...
