Last night was the wife's grandfather's (Sicilian) 76th birthday and I organised to play a few Italian tunes with one of the relos after dinner, he on guitar and me on my F5. A good old family catch up with lots of singing and a few steps as well. Naturally we slipped in some Stomp tunes to round out the night and we all had a good time. On Mike's suggestion, I just received the Hokum book on Fiddle Improv in the mail and am determined to go through it step by step, and get to the end by jingo! None of this getting half way through business then leaving it to gather dust (ask me in a month)! Aside from that, no gigs this weekend.
