I have been using TB since about 1.3 but I do feel that even this
version 3.99.24 is not really any better.

Luckily, it was an IMAP account, so no mail was lost after all.
Settings, templates and the like were nixed, however.
Any client can and will corrupt a local database in a variety of situations.
So Imap is just about the only way to keep old email safe. There are too many

am remembering the time I lost a valuable file, and every one of
four backups was bad. That has only happened once to me, but it does
happen.
I believe, the most reliable backup is still this:
