Hi
How do I restore my messages when installing a beta. I am trying to
restore a backup made by version 4.0.38 to version 4.0.39.39. I have tried a
simple restore and they just do not appear. Any advice on this would be most
appreciated.

You should try this:
Uninstall TB
Check in the registry whether the all TB stuff is gone, you'll find it at:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\RIT
Install 4.0.38
Restore your backup
Extract the executable of 4.0.39.39 on top of 4.0.38

TB will save registry to file on every exit of program (like it can be done
manually (regedit /e thebat.reg HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\RIT\The Bat!)
and when will be TB installed and there will be no registry tree detected,
TB will try to detect this file with backuped registry

I try TheBat! on Vista UE Slovak. I restore settings from my
main computer (XP Home SP2) and all national characters are
displayed wrong. In Address book is same problem.
