Orson, I'm on @home when I'm at home and one thing that's commonly overlooked is that the words "mail" and "news" only work if you have the right "DNS search suffix" set. If you're on DHCP, this should be taken care of automatically. If not, you need to set it. If you're on DHCP and can't ping
