I need to get the attachments out of my message bodies to save space.
Clicking the option to save them in the attachments folder seems to just
make a copy, but doesn't make the folder turn out any smaller, even if
that box is
clicked well before I import the folder (from Netscape).

Alt+click on any yellow envelope. Then to return to normal view.
