When I upgraded from 1.48f to 1.51 less than a week ago, I lived
through the "horrors" of the upgrade problem again. Once the TB!
splash screen appears, the system froze and had to be powered down.
Ctrl-Alt-Delete didn't help.
I always create a backup with Drive Image prior
