thanks for you help tim it worked. I found finding a service which
offered smtp access a bit tricky but eventually found

I have an smtp server with one my isp it's the only one of several I
use that allows me to send mails from domains other than the ISP's if
you see what I mean and I have several domains. Trouble is it's not
very reliable.
