Thanks, Paul - I'll try again. I've moved up to Bat 1.60 now anyway.

an aside note. I went back to Thawte to get a new certificate for this
email account, and I got most of the way through the process until it
got to the part about generating the key pair. It gave me an error ( I
forget the text 3 words) but basically I tried all the different types

problems. I am runnung win2000 though, not XP. I don't have one for
the email account for this list, but I'll get one and try it.
