As usual:
- try to reproduce problem with tessract executable if you use something
else (wrapper, in some cases API)
- sent input image

Hi All,
I currently have Tesseract implemented in a PERL module importing "use
Image::OCR::Tesseract 'get_ocr';".
The PERL module itself is used to do webscrapping, particularly scrapping
hotel room rates from the website www.hoteltravel.com. The site stores and
displays its daily rate break

Hi,
I'm trying to combine OpenCV + Tesseract in my iPhone app but I have a
problem,
I'm using SDK 6.0 iPhone4.
OpenCV requires setting C++ Standard Library as libc++ (C++ 11 support).
but Tesseract requires Compiler Default.
How can I overcome this problem?? I cannot seem link with them both i
Hi All,
I currently have Tesseract implemented within a PERL module with the
import, "use Image::OCR::Tesseract 'get_ocr';". The PERL module is designed
to do web-scrapping, particularly to scrap data from the website
www.hoteltravel.com. Tesseract comes into play when doing extraction of

Awesome. Thanks. Found it in hin.config.

I didn't read the article Sven sent, but I'd guess the clipping mode
is set using a setting in the .config file. Unpack the
hin.traineddata file and take a look at hin.config for clues.

I am still not able to find the place in tesseract code where tesseract
decides to do shirorekha clipping based on the language.

I do understand how clipping is done. What i need to know is how to direct
Tesseract to do shirorekha clipping for a new language.
For example , if i provide "-l hin" argument to tesseract , it does
clipping, while it does not when i provide "-l eng" for the same images
which contains hindi te
