It turns out that the upper case lambda is character #3 in all of the cmr
fonts, so you don't even have to define a new font. Just use \char3 and you
should get it.

Sorry, I don't understand this at all. PMX doesn't set \textfont1 because
the author of PMX never saw any need for it, not to mention that he doesn't
have any idea what it does. In any event, the example I posted (which I
think crossed your message in the ether) seems to work, at least for an

Sorry, I count this as a feature, not a bug. In the header you've specified
a pickup quarter note. Then not only didn't you assign a length to the rest,
but you didn't have any measures at all following it in the first input
block. The pickup feature in PMX requires (1) explicit duration for the

Have you (or pmx) set \textfont1 for the font of the title to the
appropriate version of the cmmi font (issuing a font command only changes
the default setting font - you have to update utility fonts for math mode to
work as well)? You need \t

That works!
What about the size of the \Lambda? :/

Haha, you placed the "as composer" which was just the end of the
sentence :) Thanks anyway!

And I have a MINIMAL WORKING EXAMPLE.

Apparently, the Tc had an influence on it. I had:
Chikayo Fukuda, Seizo Nakata, Norikatsu Fukuda\\Transcribed by Jill-J

as composer.

My title was too long!
I remarked that when I put as Tt:

abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyzabcdefghi
doesn't work (no PDF).
abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyzabcdefghijklm
provokes a Segmentation fault (so, no TEX file) and:
