Geologists say pumping in western Hays has already passed the limit of
sustainability. Computer modeling by the Texas Water Development Board predicts
water-level declines during a severe drought of between 50 and 100 feet

Just wanted to let you know that we just went live with a totally

Well said, and your efforts are greatly appreciated by the 90% of us who do not
spend our time complaining, especially those of us who rarely post but often
read cavetx for the sole use of keeping up.

trust me, if there are 50 junk, complainy cave tex emails I DELETE them all.
But, why should I have to spend so much time deleting junk, ridiculous
responses not meant for all or NON cave topic emails.
Perhaps, Charles, you should be more proactive and NOT the normally quiet list
administrator
Charles,
We all appreciate your making this venue available to us.
As far as paper vs. electronic, I can understand why a younger, dedicated caver
may want to establish an original hard copy collection for posterity. I wish
that I still had all of The Caver issues which I received in the mid
I should be pro-active? Why should I spend my time moderating a list,
when it takes someone less than 1 second to delete an email.
I spend enough time maintaining, replying to questions, and paying for
the infrastructure behind this server, why should I spend even more
time policing adults?
You
No, actually, I like very much the list the way it is and how Charles
manages it.
The delete key is your friend.

It's one thing to bitch and moan about what someone wrote and another to
think that you need to be the censor for the list serve. I find you
very restrained as I'm sure that it is far harder to not intervene
sometimes. Then again, you can always censor the folks that complain
too much.
Anyway,
Wow, what's Julie's problem!?
I think she wants to be deleted from CaveTex and, probably, needs to be.
I didn't know or intend to kick a hornets nest. I thought announcing more
material in the Members Area was a good thing!
I wonder if Jerry Atkinson and Julie are somehow related? Or are
Yeah, this is totally out of character for her, but then again, I do
have a habit of bringing up things most people don't like and maybe I
rubbed her wrong at the business meeting. I know you weren't trying
to kick the nest, but some where taking it that way, since you are
posting updates, etc.
Believe me, as TSA secretary, I know! I don't know what people expect from
volunteers or why they like to complain so much. Human nature I guess.

For those of you who didn't see Bones on Fox last nite, WNS was one of the
clues that led the good guys to an abandoned warehouse where the bad guys were
keeping their kidnapping victim. Needless to say, there were bats (unseen and
unidentified) living there some of whom, apparently, had WNS.
Hi folks,
I am putting a request out to everyone for a couple of items we need at ICS.
These will only be needed for two weeks and then can be returned.
1) Does anyone have access to orange construction fence. We can use up to
2000-feet.
Every piece and part will help.
2) We need three large
