As a web programmer I can tell you not a whole lot. If it makes you feel better
it's using Javascript to read the time on your computer and so it's the local
version of the page that is actually doing it. Not the version on the website.
If you want to see what else you can do look more into
Apparently Matt is right about the website using _javascript_ to implement its "silly clock". If you don't like the silly clock, turn off the "Enable _javascript_" option in your web browser and go back to the website (http://www.cave-biology.org/). This time you'll find that the silly clock is
