One of the great privileges of my caving career has been to go caving with Don
Broussard, whether it be in Texas or Mexico. Not only is he a great caver and
pitches in to help when help is needed, he’s also a great conversationalist.
Ask him sometime about any one of those many Mexico caving exp
wow. riveting contest.

I’ve never caved with Don in Mexico, but he provided great help to projects at
Honey Creek, Powell’s, Sorcerers, and many others. He also came to Sonora five
times(!) to do “prison labor” hauling out tons of rock during the restoration
project there. As a personal favor, he came to Honey Creek m
Don Broussard is ome of the most dedicated and capable cavers I've ever had the
pleasure of working with. From the time that 5 or 6 of us went to TAG in the
'60s until the recent Huautla expedition he's been way ahead of most of the
rest of us as someone to build a caving career after.

Allow the Weazel to chime in from the swamp. Once upon a time (94?) after the
Brackettville convention Dapper Don led a trip to Hoya de Guaguas and El
Sotano. None of us knew each other, and we were such a fractious crew that we
would surely have self destructed either by accident or on purpose
And he can cook too, was one of the Caver cooks.
