Nacimiento del Río Mante and other nacimientos in the El Abra Region, get
AMCS Bulletin 26, which was published a few months ago. There is a map of
Nacimiento del Río Mante from one of Sheck´s books. Appendix 4 is a

On my way to the caves around Valles, Aquismon and Xilitla, I would often
stop for a swim at Nacimiento near Ciudad Mante Tamaulipas in the late 80's
early 90's, where Sheck did his world record dive in 1988.
We would tread water within the cave portion of the spring and wonder &
