I am setting up a few X-Terminals that connect to a single host. Currently
that host is running kubuntu dapper. Using Thunar, I would like to remove
the 'File System' selection in the Side Panel for a set of users. Is this
possible.
I would also like to stop the Open

Nautilus even has a special icon for desktop files.
Anyway I'll read on xdg what the consensus is.

Hi,
Just one of those small look-n-feel thingies:
When I navigate to a directory that is in my pathbar but not in view
(using alt-up for example) the pathbar does not scroll. This makes the
pathbar less useful because it doesn't provide feedback when navigating
by keyboard.
I would expect

The single-click should now work as it does in Windows Explorer and

verify that it's ok.
Single-click is single-click :) don't care much for the timed
auto-selection but it doesn't get in the way

That's the expected behaviour. Hold down
Hi,
Using a recent svn version of thunar I have a few small things that need
fixing before stable release. Not sure whether they are on TODO already.
1) When the window is in detailed list mode I can't select multiple
files with the mouse because the whole window is filled with drag
sources.
Ow and another keybinding I'm missing:
4) When you press '/' in the gtkfilechooser you get the open location
dialog with the '/' filled in. Unless you want to reserve the '/' for
some kind of search action I suggest copying this keybinding.

I'm very pleased with the reload option added to Thunar, but i think
the key binding (Atl+R) is a bit weird, because is most applications
this is F5.
Is there a reason for this?
Not sure how the xfce people think about the gnome HIG, but it is
described there that

Well, we have basicly two options here:
1) Templates folder path as configure option.
2) Merge templates from multiple sources (including ~/Terminal if present).
I don't really like either of them, tho.
My guess is that you need to implement #2 anyway because you are

Although it's a good step in the right direction.
Yes, my impression too. Maybe try to replace the file icon below

I'm working in a scientific sector and all our raw data (which are

Now of

P.S. I'm working on a small GUI to mount fuse modules which is intended
as a work-alike for the gnome connect to server dialog. I'll post it
when it's finished.

Lectori Salutem,
Got thunar to compile :) only needed all libs from svn but ok. Below some
brainstorm ideas. Probably these conflict with the as simple as possible rule.
I've ported quite some users to xfce desktops lately. Personally I prefer to
use rox with xfce, but for most users I
