[tw] Status Development of TiddlyDesktop?

Hi Jeremy, Since I started using TiddlyDesktop because of my problems with TiddlyFox, I wondered if you were going to develop TiddlyDesktop any further any time (soon)? What I would wish for, not knowing how difficult that could be, that everything happened in one window with tabs like in a

Hi Merv, Same situation more or less here. At home still Windows 7. At work Windows 10. No way I could get the stuff running. That was before Easter, so next week I can check my computer at work again. This afternoon, as work needs to be done. I switched to TiddlyDesktop. Maybe that is an

Thanks very much for your help. But I still haven't managed to get it to work. I am running a Mac and don't have IE. (Though if IE is the only option, I could try doing this from my work computer.) When I try using that link to copy to the clipboard from Firefox, it 'works,' but then when I

Yes, that's the one I tried also. It appears that you can't run both services on local host. But you can specify your host IP number for each (which is what you want if you want other devices on the network to see your tiddlywiki). But you need to specify a different port number. So maybe 8080

Hi Mark: this is interesting. Exploring your idea of using another node.js application to serve files, I found this: https://github.com/indexzero/http-server I tried it on its own and it works very well, but not sure how to make it play nicely with TiddlyWiki. Maybe there is some sort of

Ok, thanks for the clarification and tips! I was not using relative external links before (I wasn't aware that was possible). I'm definitely switching to that way of linking now. Especially since most of the stuff I link to are in a dropbox folder and I'm running out of storage (for the

I am still having the problem. I use Tiddlywiki on a desktop and a laptop using Windows 10. I run the same Tiddlywiki files on both computers, which I share using dropbox. I was able to enable saving on my desktop, but the enabling message, the image of the cat over the ball in the Firefox

I think you are limited to the @@ styleinline format with this implementation. Playing with Tobias' example, I added a definition for .remove to $:/fonts/FontAwesome/checklist and it seems to work. /* CHECKLIST EXTENSION */ .check li{ list-style-type:none; padding:5px; } .check li:before{

To clarify, TiddlyWiki running on node.js doesn't serve up images or other files. There are other applications running on node.js that do serve up images and that is one of the easiest ways to add a server to your set up if you want to go that route. Thanks, Mark On Saturday, April 15, 2017
