you beat me to it, we have been using lately the ICS 512 and 570 for some
of our projects. If symmetry is not required 80 MHz and a 74 AC 90 will do,
if symmetry is a must the only low cost way I know is 160 MHz and a $ 2
MAX3000A gate array. We actually did a symmetrical divide by 3
How about getting back to basics.
Is it a one off, if production how many and what are the specification
requirements? Otherwise on this list it can go on for a year.

I do not have a LPRO nor a schematic but all Efratom units I have played
with have identical loops. They also use the 1 uF capacitor for sweeping.
Adding an other larger capacitor in parallel and the sweep slows down and you
can observe 127 Hz behavior.

The delay is mainly do to the fact that the promise to do the drawings did
not materialize. The counters are done and tests on variations of the D/M's
are ongoing since the noise floor is not the counter but the D/M.
Bill Riley's boards are out there and it would be nice to get some feedback
You can buy today the Bill Riley board and there are few boards of a change
with larger SMD also today available. Once we release a final S M D version any
one that wants to buy only a board that ia an option, the same will also be
available in through hole.

I did get one bad one leak or pin hole aging so much that it would have run

Having built a few portable frequency sources my recommendation based on
your application and what is reasonably available today would be a FE 5680A
in combination with a 100 MHz clean up XO. We have very good results with a
slightly modified what I call the Dorsten PLL-VCXO by W-H-Rech. I c

Brooks GPSDO may be 15 years old but is still perfect for today's

As to the latest code Brooks did not release compiled or ASM code. Prior
codes where released with an agreement. In due time his wife Karen Stoll will
make a decision that will satisfy time nuts.
Stay tuned.
