Annette Taylor mentioned Ashcraft's larger text Human memory and Cognition, and I agree it is a lot for a UG course. His shorter Fundamentals of Cognition is a more recent book that I have successfully used in conjunction with additional reading materials. I have also used Solso's book (4th Ed

I really like Ashcraft's briefer text Fundamentals of Human Cognition. I used it for the first time last year (after using his more encyclopedic Human Memory and Cognition) and my students really liked it. They especially liked how he tried to anticipate student questions as they read, and then an

Ok, I've used at least 6 different texts here (I hope I only ever do this once)are my N=1 comments: I've used Reed's text the most consistently, although I have had a habit of using it, getting tired of its shortcomings, trying another text and going back and see sawing this way for about 12 years
