likelihood of earthquake damage around NY city.

I'm <30 miles west of Mike Palij (320 miles northeast of epicenter;
40.761,-74.422) and the 100 year old 3 story colonial house-turned-office
building shook for some time (as if the person above or below me was engaged
in, ah hem, "romantic activities"). Campus buildings were evacuated until 3 P
I am in my office in the Psychology building which was built by the
WPA. It is a very solid building. My monitor starts to sway and then I
can feel the building swaying back and forth. It felt like a heavy
truck was passing by with the exception that the rate of sway was wrong

I'm about 100 miles WNW of DC. I was working in my study when suddenly the
floor beneath me started moving. The whole house (brick) wavered, and I
