hey Robert, i definitely understand what you are saying. i am not saying to take herbal remedies i am saying to pshyc out your brain from thinking that taking heavy doses of meds calms your pain. taking pills is like smoking, your body just gets use to it because you eat at a set time everyday

Carol, Neurontin is not a medication to be used only when you have pain. I believe that any benefit you get from taking it only when you need it is probably from the placebo effect. Do you know the side effects of neurontin? You should google "Neurontin" ans read up about it. Good luck F
