Dear Barb, et al...
Don't you think that if doctors could cure such a devestating disease as TM
with a simple/not so simple antibiotic, it would have been done by now?
Why...TM is only just now getting its name heard of in "certain circles".
There are many more stories of crippl
Sal,
I think you are trying to find a solution across the board for pain,
mobility, etc. that you think may have worked for you and have it work for
everyone. Because the doc told you you'd never move doesn't mean that anyone

OK Gunny,
We finally get some show even mentioning TM and then they go about
mentioning WRONG, BAD, LOUSY, etc. information. Now you tell me, which is
better, no
press or bad press?? One would think that on a show such as HOUSE, the info
given would be researched and correct, or is that

Well, I might be wrong. But I got the impression that House considered the
transverse myelitis as one of a set of symptoms this week, and not a full-blown
disease of its own. Because he said to give antibiotics for the TM, and then
to continue running tests for other things. Like the TM w
Hi Sal,
I'm glad that not taking meds is working for you. I'm also very glad to hear
that you are are now walking short distances. You have certainly come a long
way.
I currently take Gabapentin 2400mg, Baclofen 40mg and Zanaflex 4mg. I don't
have to look at a clock to tell me that it is

Dear Friend,
It's only April, but the rhetoric of the 2008 Presidential Campaign is
already at fever pitch. This November, as in all election years, there are
important issues at stake. One of them is the issue of socialized medicine or,

hey Robert, i definitely understand what you are saying. i am not saying to
take herbal remedies i am saying to pshyc out your brain from thinking that
taking heavy doses of meds calms your pain. taking pills is like smoking, your
body just gets use to it because you eat at a set time everyday
Sal:
I appreciate your view regarding medications and the option of using
herbal remedies. I do not think there is any one answer that works for
all of us. We all are somewhat different...if TM was like fingerprints
there would be no 2 exactly alike. Considering there is no cure

i dont know if people know but they recalled neurontin at certain doses. Those
of you on Neurontin, the temporary relief of pain is not worth the long term
side effects. If you ask me, I would say that most of you are on to much meds
when not needed. doctors give you more then needed but it i
Carol,
Neurontin is not a medication to be used only when you have pain. I believe
that any benefit you get from taking it only when you need it is probably from
the placebo effect.
Do you know the side effects of neurontin? You should google "Neurontin" ans
read up about it.
Good luck

I wondered the same exact thing. They never mentioned antibiotics with
Ashlee, they went straight to the IVIG treatment.
