Hi,
I had 2 courses of high dose steroids;one at onset of tm,and one a couple
of years later when I had a flare-up.
I was told in 2006 that I had a beginning cataract;on my exam this year,it
is the same.I will be 62 on 6/17.

I also have been told this, and I have faint cataracts.

Anyone else hear about this relationship?
Saddens me,
it was just an age thing.

I agree about age category, I turned 57 in February, and just had my 9 yr TM
anniversary on June 1. No, I didn't celebrate.
But, funny thing bout June 1. It was my mom's birthday, I got engaged on
June 1, and then TM. And, I missed the celebration for my mom's 70th bithday
party. Not
blessed.

*My steroid induced cataracts were removed last summer. It's very
common. I used 60 mgs of pred per day for two and a half years, plus tons
of IV SoluMedrol for my NMO. It didn't take long for them to develop. If I
develop secondary cataracts, instead of having a full blown surgery like
