You know, I'd forgotten about this until it happened
yesterday, but I have had other eye involvement beside the drooping eyelid at
onset. Whenever I sneeze, sometimes it sets off "showers" of twitches in my
eyelids.

I have had facial involvement from tm. It intensifies when I am
tired/fatigued/too hot. It really affects my nose, lips, chin and cheeks. I
have the eye muscles twitches, too.
I have never read that TM can affect the facial nerves.
