I took Tegretol (Carbamazepine) for a while and it was
helpful. Pain wasn't my primary complaint, though -- I had more pain then than
now, and it's intermittent. But it did help with general symptoms. My neuro said
it helps "quiet down" the nervous system. I stopped taking it

Thanks again for your replies. I've visited my dr and am now on
"Avanza" for depression. I have some more questions
now :-)
I've had some sample packs of Neurontin from the dr and have a script,
but they cost almost $100 a pack here in Australia, (only covered by
PBS for epilepsy;
