David / All,
Had problems rendering your doc so I've patched it onto the end of mine and
cleaned up the XML so that it styles up OK. Here it is.
Comments?
Les
PS I will stop moaning about getting this committed, I promise... :-)

Hi all,
Could we add this into the JNDI Datasources HOWTO that I wrote the other
week (I dont think this has been committed yet BTW)
If someone can commit my HOWTO, I'll merge the two together and submit a
patch this afternoon.
Hope this is OK

Is this you hitting the 32k method size limitation in Java (see the JLS for

refactor the jsps.
Have fun!

Hi again,
I've had some spare time so I've summarised a bunch of DB configs from the
user list into this Datasource howto (attached) Can you disregard my prevous
patch (I dont think it's been put into CVS yet) and apply these instead?
Thanks
Les

any improvements. Also, I think we could do with an Oracle example and
perhaps breaking the "tutorial" stuff out into another file?
Bye,
Les
P.S. Not really a CVS expert - hope this patch is OK.

Hi all,
We're all probably aware of the high amount of noise on tomcat-user
regarding configuring datasources and jndi in TC 4. Having battled through
it and submitted a brief how-to for the solution that works for me, I'm
proposing updating the TC documentation to include this and a couple of
