Does anyone know what the password is to get into the Admin tool that comes
with the standard installation of tomcat? I didn't find anything of
relevance in the /webapps/admin/Web-inf/web.xml file or anywhere in its
vicinity. I tried the various combinations of Admin/Admin, Admin/Tomact

Ok, now it works, but i needed to be restart the tomcat server.

What is the default context admin password for Tomcat? When you go to
http://localhost:8080/admin, and clik on Context admin. I need to be able to
add another virtual path. Thanks a ton.

There is no default password, you have to enter your own in tomcat-users.xml

I just saw your mail.
Under the TOMCAT_HOME/conf directory, there is a xml file namely 'tomcat-users.xml'.
Open this file to look for the password of the created users. Normally the admin
password is 'admin' by default.

look for tomcat-users.xml in the tomcat/conf dir and add a new user with
role admin
You can look into the web.xml of the admin context for the
security-constraint. The role is admin is explicit listed. For security
reasons, there is no default admin!!!

tomcat as well. But After installing, tomcat page work fine, but I will go to admin
