Howdy,
Try to list the bindings in your context. Your server.xml is probably
not set up correctly, so tomcat isn't binding a mail/Session JNDI entry

Howdy,
That depends on which SendMail example you're using ;) If your SendMail
code uses a JNDI Mail Session, then yes you need to modify server.xml.
You don't need to post all of server.xml, only your context and its JNDI
definitions.

Dear all,
I know not too many did this before. I enabled cgi support of Tomcat instead of
integrating it to apache. Everything worked fine for the old cgi scripts except one
fatal thing: the email script failed. Seemed to me Tomcat has some security
restriction on openning socket to

app to Java.

Everyone,
I encountered something odd when setting up a new Tomcat server. I have a mail
session in the server.xml and when I run my app I get the following error:
javax.servlet.ServletException: javax/mail/Session
at
org.apache.jasper.runtime.PageContextImpl.handlePageException
for the life of me figure out what it could be. Has anyone seen
anything like this or have any ideas?
CodeGuide is placing mail.jar and activation.jar on the webapp's
classpath. You need those jars in the WEB-INF/lib directory of your
webapp if you want to use the mail API.

But mail.jar and activation.jar are also in the common/lib directory.
I'll bet it's a ClassLoader issue and the exception is really a wrapped
