I think the startup class should be
org.apache.catalina.startup.BootstrapService
(I'm using 4.1.3)

jdk 1.3.1(or higher) fixes this problem or I believe you can also use -Xrs
as jvm params to avoid it.

There is the copy in the V3.3.1 directory. Is that version specific?
