Great points Chet.
Under the Be there category, consider getting up in the middle of the
night to work them on the low bands. Even in the first days of their
operation, I got up at 2 a.m. and worked them easily on 160-80-40 with 100
watts and no pileups.

Exactly the point, Steve! A bunch of the guys around here worked them on 160 at
0800Z (that's 3AM here). My 160 QSO was around 1030Z.
I'm really dating myself but back in the day the only way to snag some new
ones on 80/160 was to be checking the bands in the middle of the night. No
internet
And how about the clown last night, around 10pm his local time, when
TI9/3Z9DX was working EU, who got on his frequency and said, NA NA NA, I'm
tired and need my sleep. I didn't know whether to laugh or cry.

Tonight K6MM told the NCDXC that LOTW is a few months down the road.

It's a near miracle they finally got the permission to go. And then it cost
an actual fortune to fund, even though it was relatively close. For the
value that QSL represents, it's cheap at many times the OQRS price.

Let’s see. You likely have thousands if not tens of thousands invested in gear
and antennas. You have a computer and a monthly ISP bill. And a monthly
electric bill. These guys unselfishly invested their own time and a lot more
than $6 each to give you the joy of an ATNO and band/mode slots.

outrageous. are they posting the logs on LOTW?
i wonder if those who kindly contributed to the expedition will have to pay for
their cards?

K1N club log is now up. First QSO costs $6.00 USD.
Ti9/3Z9DX initially was very weak on 160 last night at my QTH in Maine
(northern New England).
Then the signal started building, peaking to S-8 1530 hours UTC. Unfortunately
they were working Europe at the time. Waited a number of hours, but no
cigar.
Any information available as to
Conditions to EU on 160M last night were just superb. Might be best to just
let TI9 work EU given these conditions.
This AM before I went to work (1100Z), I got them on 160M CW. They weren't
loud but were peaking up above the noise quite often.
I have listened for them when spotted on phone on
Email Dom 3Z9DX. I had a log problem and he answered me immediately. I
am sure they are open to suggestions if asked nicely.

TI9 had a super signal on 160 last nite, before my sunset he was 579
and peaked over
599 at sunset, of course EU only, and he was working them at a good
clip. Good to see
conditions were good.
After sunset his signals started dropping, he went to US about 0500? I
made it through the
pile
Band was really nice last night. Worked TI9 from balck hole Asia location.
Before this I was able to log few US stations. First time after 2013
opennings.
Navassa K1N was audible almost daily on my SR peak. But KP1 has way better
heading than polar TI9 and US.
Condx got better.
Regards,
At 0500z the op started working NA. Many of us worked him then. He was a
good 579 from 0300z working EU until at least 0510z when I shut the rig
down.
They seem to up load the logs to Clublog often.
Glad to get a new one on 160m!

Their website shows the various ways to get a card. The $6 fee is for
ClubLog, which is very convienient.
QSL methods:
U.S.A. Direct: Minimum S.A.S.E. (Self-Addressed Stamped Envelope)
World Direct: S.A.E. (Self-Addressed Envelope) plus minimum $2 or 1 IRC
OQRS Direct and bureau: via CLUBLOG
Yes - they will be uploading to lotw for free.
You can get your QSL for the price of an SASE if you are not wanting
to use the OQRS system (for USA hams).
End of thread please.

K1N club log is now up. First QSO costs $6.00 USD. That's got to be the
most expensive I have seen. Anyone top that one. I am not complaining!

Did you happen to see on their website what it cost them to BE there?
