Thanks for sharing this, Milt. I have at least as much respect for the
techie guys like Ray who do the heavy lifting with engineering of trips
as those who do the the organizing and operating. These things really
are team efforts, and I thank you for recognizing Ray. May he RIP.

It came to my attention today through Dietmar, DL3DXX and Robin, WA6CDR, that
Ray Gerrard, who held both G3NOM and HS0ZDZ call signs, passed away near the
end of May.
Ray suffered a stroke in 2004 and had been largely incapacitated since that
time.
I came to know Ray as we were both members of
G'Day Topbanders,
There is propagation between the hemispheres for those willing to battle
the QRN during the northern summer, just as we do down-under, during our
summer.
