of the night. For instance, today my neighbors began getting up around
07:30L and the noise floor quickly increased. The buzz seems to be the

In the last couple days I have copied both VK3IO and E6GG on 160 cw at
sunrise. They were weak here, but not bad for a 200ft BOG in a residential
neighborhood.
The KD9SV pHEMT FET preamp is a nice addition to the shack. I was able to
do an in/out test this morning, and it made a big improvement.
I have another preamp that uses an old MRF-904. Have you characterized that
transistor at 1.8MHz? Is it worth replacing with a 2N5109?
