Agreed. I'm pretty sure it's a known bug, but I can't find the bug
number right now.

Did a complete rescan and still no joy.
I am not sure what you mean by "I presume you are only using the Music
Folder on the Touch menu's to access your WAV's?". I will state that
the Touch has an external HD hooked to it and that is it... unless I
have to do something like a complete rescan th

There is no easy way to do this. Theoretically you can edit the
server.prefs file, but this doesn't work. The code that mounts a USB
drive or SD card edits the server.prefs file and puts the root of the
drive in there.
I don't remember where this code is and how difficult it would be to
modify.
The Chumby has always interested me, especially as the prices have
dropped and they have expanded form factors. That said the advertising
based model of their business, the Chumby is like a squeezebox that
always connected to mysb.com, is just the not very reassuring.
I may be wrong, but the Chu

5 sec. each time) where they are out of sync. and then they work fine -

Thanks to all. This is so strange... I am convinced that I was able to
stream the same music to all my units without using the "sync.
function". I know it sounds weird but I clearly remember who much
trouble I had the first time, trying to synchronize, and then I found
the other way and it just wo
I too have a Touch and Chumbys.
I have always felt the Touch being able to display Chumby widgets when
not playing music is a perfect match.

They should stay synced when you sync them, did you perhaps changed to
mysb com with the touch or something ? so they unsynced.
When you do this and keep the players conected to the Touch and don't
wander of to mysb.com they should keep the sync settings.
I actually not sure what the Touch's onbo

Thanks but I don't use the synchronize function - it is much easier to
use the server in Touch

I had severe problems to begin with, with that approach, but it seems
to be much better after I hardwired the Touch. But it takes too much
time to first sync. one Radio with the Touch, then the other one, and
then the Boom. I
Try a complete rescan on the Touch.
I presume you are only using the Music Folder on the Touch menu's to
access your WAV's?

why wont the sync option work on 4 units for you ?
The sync UI is a bit awkward, but it should work .
Default they are not synced, you can play different streams to each
player.
You can either set this up from each player.
for example in the boom, settings > synchronize and then choose the

Hi,
I just bought the Touch and connected it to my router (using cable) and
for several days I could steam music to my Boom and two Radios via wifi
using the Touch's built-in server. No problems at all - I just had to
choose the Touch as library, on either the Boom or Radio, and then they

Thanks, I use the server in Touch (I don't want to have my computer

I don't have a Chumby to test it but I've been looking at the new
Insignia (Best Buy) version.
If you have a Chumby and try this out, please report your findings.
Thanks.

Hi All,
I need a hand... I think I need re-educated again...
I have bought a few new discs and I am having a devil of a time getting
them to show up on my Touch that I have been using for several months. I

what it is.

aubuti, thanks very much for your advice, you were certainly right.
IMHO, even if the shuffle mode is on, I think it would be more
"natural" to begin with the selected track, and let the SB choose the
next ones.

Policy of Squeezebox Server is to never ever change the media files, it
only reads them.
AFAIK, plugins for the "fat" Squeezebox Server that support ratings (or
other means of "tagging" music files) do not change tags in files
either, but rather rely on databases entries to store them.

Just got my new Touch, one thing that annoys me is the play button on

Hi,
listening to my private collection via the built-in server, I often

Is there a way ? Would it be possible to get this functionality into an
applet ?

Hi,
the full PC based Squeezebox Server requests one to specify a folder to
look for music. Therefore, I'm wonderiung whether there's a chance to
direct the built-in server of the SB Touch to a certain folder of the
USB HDD instead of scanning the whole file system ?
The UI doesn't allow for such
