Bringing this up because the problem still exists. There have been
firmware updates, current one is 7.5.1-r9009, but still the automatic
brightness pulsates when it is totally dark in the room.

Touch sounds *very* nice with the A5's. :)
If you stick to the higher bitrate and better quality streams I am
certain you will hear a difference over the (very good sounding) Boom.

including the HD tracks sampler in 24/96 FLAC. The server recognizes
them and the Touch plays them but there is no sound. Switching over to

WMA lossles would only work if your server is running on a windows
machine ?
Alac better than 16/44.1 maybe only if you have a server, or maybe not

All files on standalone PC running Windows Vista.
Connection is hardwire ethernet cable to Touch, wireless from CPU to
network.
All 24/96 files I have tried are FLAC 2-channel.
I'm using squeezebox v7.5.1 which is the latest I can find on the

But to be sure try the headphone or analog out to be sure that the
Touch is really quiet.

Almost true except for the fact that Apple doesn't actually sell any

Interestingly the analog connections play the 24/96 FLAC whereas my
digital (SPDIF) connector does not. I'm using a high-end Transparent
cable into a Meridian G61R. I can't imagine it's the cable or the
pre/pro as the Flac 16 bit works just fine through the s

It sounds amazing, but I am not really sure if I would be able to set
up the Linux system although the step-by-step instructions sound okay -

I have Meridian myself but a G68J can it possibly be a setup issue ?
These things have many settings, maybe a look with meridian application
