[SlimDevices: Touch] Displaying Artwork

2010-11-02 Thread havisham
Hi My Touch is working really well, but it's not displaying all of the album artwork. I have my iTunes library on a QNAP TS110, and my Mac and the SB both access the same library. The Mac displays all the artwork, but the Touch only displays some of it. I can't see any apparent differences in

Hi I found WOL worked perfectly except the PC would go to sleep after a while, even when still playing music, so I leave it on permanently now, it is a dedicated Intel Atom PC used as a server so it doesn't use much power but it would be nice if I could use the feature better. Server runs

[SlimDevices: Touch] 24/192 Files Unsupported When Native FLAC Is disabled

2010-11-02 Thread guidof
I have a few 24/192 files. I noticed that if FLACs are transcoded to PCM at the SBServer level (SettingsAdvancedFile TypeFLACDisable), then 24/192 files do not play, which they do (albeit presumably as 24/96) if FLAC is set to native. Intuitively, this seems strange to me, as it would appear

[SlimDevices: Touch] Rescan Function - 'Look for new and changed music' (what will/won't it do?)

2010-11-02 Thread tv69
Hello, I am wondering what the Rescan function 'Look for new and changed music' actually does? If I change tags on various tracks in my library, will the changes be picked up by using the 'Look for new and changed music'? I already tried a test of re-tagging the genre on about 1000 songs.

My guess is that the program you are using for tagging may not be updating the file last modified attribute which is what I am assuming SC is looking at. Many times you don't want the last modified to be changed, particularly if you don't want to have all of your re-tagged files to show up in

Thanks JJZolx, Did not consider that, probably because I am not a programmer. :^) I could definitely live with that method for quick rescans of re-tagged files and every so often do a purge and scan to get rid of any leftover 'old' data. Could there be a tagging software that employs this
