Thanks for the replies.
The noise is still there even if its 100% volume or 0%.
My plan is to get an amp soon and some decent speakers, just wanted to
confirm if the headphone jack was of rather poor quality.
But a temporary solution of a Y plug for my Sennheisers won't work?
3.5mm split to RCA
Yes the RCA is line level only they don't drive headphones you need a
headphone amp .
RCA should connect directly to the amps.
But besides from using very high quality phones and high standards re
sound-quality.
Is not some in ear type of phones very very sensitive you amplify noise
greatly.

There is one thing which is annoying me in this forum, this is the way

That's what I am thinking too. Unfortunately I don't have any 3.5mm to

And it you want to use the stream.mp3 stream either to something like
Windows Media Player or across the web if you want to listen from work
then you'll need LAME to do the FLAC (or whatever) to MP3 conversion.

Hi,
I am having the same rebuffering problem. I'm using the Touch (7.6)
with a Sheevaplug (Squeezeplug) as the server with a 1TB WD essentials

I have altered the self.decodeThreshold variable in

I've got my SBT set to display a clock when stopped or off.
Unfortunately I've noticed that the clock doesn't appear after a power

a timer along with all my other AV equipment so it gets a power cut
every day. Can anyone think
The bitrate limiting feature requires LAME, but if you don't use it (and
it sounds like you don't) then you don't. If it ain't broke...

It seems to play ok.

Wow, you live and learn.
I must have knocked that button when messing with the touch. I don't
use the remote much so didn't know what that button did.
Anyway all fixed now. Many thanks for the quick reply, much
appreciated.

Hi all,
I'm new on here.Just came across you today :-)
I have a squeezebox touch connected to my music system and talking to

I spent a lot of time organising it and getting album art sorted out

Hi Atver

Thanks I bought an external powered WD drive and it has been working.
A new problem - songs sometimes (3 times in one album) cut off
prematurely and jump to the start of the next track. I seem to
remember someone else asking about this previously in another thread.
