Although it seems that I am talking to myself, here is some updated
information:
Surprisingly this morning Touch woke me up. It worked perfectly.
Surprise thing was that I didn't change anything. I didn't change any
alarm settings or anything.
I hope I can find some explanation for this.

You'll have to transfer the player to the local server on the Touch
itself. Do so by going to My Music on the Touch's interface.

try directly on the Touch itself.
Chose " my music" then it should offer to go to the local server.
I'm not at home now, but i'm sure there are multiple possible ways to
conect to the local server via the Touch itself, if server discovery
via port 3483 is broken ( it should be open tcp and udpin
In a nutshell, I can't get Squeeze Server on the local Win 7 PC to
control the Touch.
I went through the setup for the Touch. It appeared to install fine,
and is working on MySqueezebox.com. I loaded the Squeeze Server
software on the computer, that seemed to go fine. In the Squeeze

Still no luck getting rid of the clicks, but I think I may have found a
way to find the correct format for the dac... Use aplay with -v, for

Touch has same WMA decoder capabilities built in that will be supplied
by mplayer so it is unlikely to provide a proper solution unless the
user has disabled native WMA playing on the Touch.
The only other possibility is WMAL which would require the user to get

do you run the SqueezeboxServer on the NAS? I recall that if you run
SbS on a non windows machine, it doesn't automatically have the stuff
it needs
