Touch and USB / SD Troubleshooting
USB or SD card devices
- Check the formatting of the device, Touch supported formats: FAT16,
FAT32, NTFS, ext2, ext3
- Touch can only see/use a single partition, format as a single
partition
- Remove any included device “utilities” as these
Facing the exact same problem here. Running SC 7.5.3 on a Qnap TS-112
and playing on a squeezebox 2 over wifi (84% wifi signal strength). It
seems like the SB loses connection to the file it's playing, as it
sometimes very shortly shows a message in the screen, saying can't
open file from:...

That's what I ended up doing. All my 24/192 files have physical 24/96
Changing the file rights from 766 to 777 doen't seem to fix it. When
playing the same album on my old setup (Qnap TS-101 with SS 6.3.1
there's no problems at all, each song is completed as it should.
Next option: trash and total rescan of the music library

Thanks. I did the formatting and nothing else is on the flashdrive but
it still wont work. I am going to try SD cards as this is easier and
more what I would like.
Another question I would have is do you shut it down or just leave go
into sleep mode? What is best?

Do you mean the Touch itself? If so, like a lot of electronic devices
it doesn't have a true off unless you cut the power source by pulling
the plug or switching the outlet
