Last week I returned from short holiday and found that DURACELL batteries
provided with SB Touch leaked and destroyed my IR remote controller. It started
to send uncontrolled signals to SBT. I've cleaned the contacts and changed the
batteries with new one but nothing happened.

I suppose your Touch is still under warranty, so perhaps you should
contact your vendor to have the remote replaced.
Thanks for the tip, by the way. I'll check the batteries in my remote
when I get home today.

Any advice?

Then you could try contacting Logitech support directly. They might be
sympathetic and send you a new remote, figuring a low-cost item is
worth customer goodwill. On the other hand, all batteries have the
potential to leak, and it is not the fault of the device vendor if the

It's a public resource that is put out there to be used.

Thanks for the heads up. Though I just checked my Touch remote

problems.

OK I seem to have got something working---thanks Jean!
I'll write what I did in case either 1) its wrong and I've potentially
destroyed my Touch, or 2) its helpful (and easier than it appeared)
1) since Jean includes the file ntp.touch.tar.gz I don't see why I

Go to www.MySqueezeBox.com, login, start entering possible emails. :)
On both Touch Boom you can see which email is being used for MySB.com
registration.

No, your Radio must be setup by itself, independent of the other
players.

Are you using the Touch's built-in server (TinySBS) or an external SBS
running on a pc or NAS? If the latter, then you should be able to find
the email address in the SBS web ui under Settings mysqueezebox.com.
For cloning settings across players you can look at peterw's
SettingsManager plugin
Sorted thanks, got it from the Boom.
So far the Radio is a impressive, little unit.
Using the touch in stand alone mode.

Yep the touch does suffer random rebuffering. I've seen it happen a few
times, it will be playing an mp3 and then stop, display the rebuffering
text, then after 20 seconds or so, it will then say buffering failed
(or similar) and then immediately start playing again where it left
off.

Untrue, there are in fact two editors available on the Touch: ed and
vi.
But these are editors for real men (ed, especially). ;)
