After an exchange of e-mails with Touch Support at Logitech today I
received an e-mail from them containing this sentence: -
Unfortunately, we must inform you that your product is defective and a
warranty exchange is needed.

I'm new here so please forgive me if this has been covered. I've
connected a powered USB drive to the touch with about 13,000 songs on
it. Touch scanned the drive and found all the songs without an issue.
However, if I select a track from an album, it often plays a completely
different track from

Welcome to the forum.
Sounds like you have Shuffle set to Shuffle songs.
Settings Shuffle Off.
