Hi Reg66, I dont think you read the posts fully. What I said is that I did not see any significant difference between using SBT with a wired, wireless or direct wired connection to the nsa310. Regarding your latest question - I think the £35 deal probably will not give you the squeezebox server.

Touch has three audio outs, all of which play simultaneously. Coax digital, optical digital, L/R analog. But Touch is not an amp so whatever speakers you wish to use must receive amplified audio. These could be self powered speakers with their own internal amps (like the aforementioned

Note you don't need a DAC - any amplifier that supports two sets of speakers will work. Just connect the analogue out of the SB to the amp - you need to have speakers in both listening rooms (obviously!). Probably a good way to start - although within weeks you will have realised how much fun

I've used my home built small Linux server OS on ssd two music drives 1tb and 2 tb . 1,2Ghz CIA c7 x86 CPU 1GB of ram. For years now . IMHO go for a machine with a x86 CPU it give additional overhead to run all transcoding operations. Some formats are not natively supported on players but LMS
