In the toslink/spdiff standard there is some kind of idle signal IE
light and carrier wave is still on , correctly designed equipment detect
this as no sound , but some DAC's and recievers simplistically uses the
light itself as an indicator

The touch can't physically do it... time for a pi/piCorePlayer (works
perfectly disabling the digital output with a hifiberry digi+), use

Thank you Man in a Van. That is the gadget I have. Only with 2 inputs
and automatic (no selector). That is why one HAS to be OFF in order for
the other side to work.
