hmmm. just tried to update from touch Advanced > update software to what
showed as a newer 7.8 firmware for me, but then it
It still stubbornly refuses to list 7.8 as an option from the Advanced -
Software Update menu.
The fact it also will not connect to MySB.com suggests something fishy
is going on.
Maybe a factory reset might help ?

Sorted it. Apparantly synology nas's having an internet connection
problem is common. Sorted it by looking here

Then did a factory reset on the touch, reinstalled the edo and
everything is fine.

Seem to have lost the internet on my NAS now after all the rebooting.
NAS says check the DNS and network settings.does this mean on the
NAS or router?

With my Billion router I could easily switch from playing from the NAS
to Deezer or Shoutcast by going my apps - deezer etc. Now I have to go
to settings - advanced - network and select either my NAS or mysqeezebox
depending on what I want.

Yes Michael, the sb server is on the Synology NAS. However, I didn't
have a problem playing music from the NAS.
Anyway I now have a Synology router which seems excellent. The Touch can
play from the NAS and from the internet. However, it is not as simple as
it used to be with my old Billion route
