Thanks for the other power supply links.
Turns out, as noted elsewhere, if not using the USB input, 2.5 A is
sufficient to fully power the Touch and I.R. sensor. I tried my old
Elpac WM075-1950 linear power supply (5W 2.5A, used elsewhere with an
SB3) works perfectly. Fidelity is great, and my
+1 to replacing the A/C adapter first, before performing major surgery
to replace the IR sensor. That solved the problem in my case as well.

Correct the default port for LMS is 9000 but QNAP's original DLNA media
server was Twonky which used port 9000, so the original SSOTS

I've never used a QNAP NAS, so that's useful information.
My Zyxel NAS used to use :9000, and the RasPi running piCorePlayer uses
:9000
