Thanks very much! I think volume is my issue, too. I use the cheap
modem/router Centurylink provided, and the problem has definitely become
more pronounced as the size of my music library has grown. I just
ordered a mesh wifi router. I don't use Squeezeplay; I have LMS running
on the computer

Ah I see msntp is installed, but it doesn't quite provide the same
functionality, since I don't want to ssh into my squeezebox and type a
command everytime the time drifts.

players so that when they synnchronize, I do the Touchs first and THEN
add Squeezplay.
I also make sure that the Touchs are not linked to the Wi-Fi router but
to the satellite (I have an Orbi set up) ...
