Your USB drive is probably formatted as NTFS. You will need to install a full read-write NTFS driver for your mac such as NTFS-3G from Tuxera (there used to be a free version but I don't see it anymore) or Paragon NTFS. -- N

Can the touch be hacked to VPN directly (OpenVPN or PPTP or IPsec or any other protocol) into my home network when I'm on the move? I have Linux, Windows and Mac machines running at home, so I guess I have some flexibility in which VPN server to run. -- N
